Job description2 years’ experience in facility maintenance Two (2) certifications (not licenses) in work related areas : plumbing, HVAC, electrical, boilers, welding, and / or Full compliance with all work rules Safe work record, practice safe work habits, following Standard Operating Procedures An excellent attendance record and no EPR for the past 6 months. Flexibility - able to react to changing priorities Ability to read, write and speak English effectively Must be able to use fingers / hands to handle equipment and tools Must be able to lift and push 50+ lbs. Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours. Must be able to work in small spaces and climb ladders Must be able to obtain Sida Airport Badge Must be able to drive up to a 24 foot cargo truck.
Brief Description of Position :
A Maintenance Tech is responsible for in-house maintenance of facilities
Principal Responsibilities :
- General building and equipment repairs and preventative maintenance
- Light carpentry, painting
- Electrical repair and modifications
- Responsible for HVAC : heating, ventilation, air conditioning
- Ensure all refrigerated units are operational at all time
- Ensure all department Logs are properly maintained
- Miscellaneous maintenance duties deemed necessary by management.
Education and Experience :
