What youll do
- As a Staff Flight Test Engineer under minimal supervision, determine and develop approaches to achieve T&E goals for a Small UAS / Quadcopter and help guide and perform test activities.
- Focus on new SUAS / Quadcopter aircraft development, emphasizing electronics, avionics, propulsion, flight characteristics, rugged design, and quality at scale.
- Conduct system and sub-system level T&E of hardware and software, support or lead test planning, establish test measures of success, perform ground and flight testing, analyze performance, and drive process improvement.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline from an accredited institution and 3+ years SUAS flight test engineering experience.Experience with National Airspace System and UAS operating rules and regulations.Experience with energetics, explosive hazard handling and ESAD procedures is preferred.Strong understanding of SUAS / Quadcopter engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory; broad application of concepts; and related technical practices.Ability to understand new concepts quickly, organize and coordinate work, and provide solutions to complex problems.Strong software and documentation experience.Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one or more engineering areas.Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and travel as required for planning and testing.Salary and Benefits
US Salary Range : $146,000-$194,000 USD. The salary range is an estimate based on compensation factors; actual offers may vary. Equity grants and comprehensive benefits are included in the total compensation package.
