Accounting Clerk

OVERVIEW OF POSITION :

Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable / receivable function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include (but are not limited to) THE FOLLOWING JOB FUNCTIONS :

Manages all aspects of accounts payable, such as ensuring timely payments and processing of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.

Ensures that all payments have proper authorization and account coding.

Ensure that non-invoiced receipts report is accurate and maintained.

Responsible for inputting and maintaining approved vendors and customers in accordance with business system procedures.

Manages all aspects of accounts receivable including accurate invoicing, credit memos, and collection activities including inquiries, negotiating past due accounts, and credit and / or audit information requests.

GENERAL :

Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within AR / AP

Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong computer background, with knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Must be safety oriented and follow all safety and plant rules and regulations

Use personal protective equipment and other safeguards as required.

Must maintain good attendance and good housekeeping standards

Must work well in a team environment
