Must-Have :

General Emergency Department combined adult / pediatric experience required.

Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills / experience.

Required IV therapy and phlebotomy skills / experience.

Medication management experience, including emergency medications and procedural sedation administration.

Neurological case skills / experience, including CVA and spinal cord injury.

Pediatric case skills / experience.

Psychiatric case skills / experience, including managing violent behavior and suicidal patients.

Respiratory case skills / experience, including intubation.

Cerner experience required.

Description :

This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.

The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with an average daily census of 175 patients.

The facility has a 56 bed emergency department.

The nurse will work every other weekend.

The clinician must have combined adult and pediatric emergency department experience.

The nurse will be responsible for cardiac monitoring and the management of dysrhythmias.

The role includes obtaining 12 lead EKGs and administering emergency medications.

Phlebotomy and starting IVs are required skills.

The nurse will manage patients with multi-system organ dysfunction and perform IV therapy.

Required neurological skills include managing patients with CVA and spinal cord injuries.

The role involves managing pediatric cases such as abdominal pain, asthma, and head injury.

Psychiatric skills required include managing acute psychosis and drug overdoses.

Experience in respiratory care, such as chest tube insertion and intubation, is necessary.

Triage and isolation precautions experience are essential.

Candidates should be willing to float to meet facility needs.

Local candidates are encouraged to apply.

RTO restrictions include ideally no more than five days.

Candidates will need to secure housing and complete compliance needs promptly.

All candidates must have credentials verified prior to assignment start.

The ability to complete the contract without attendance or behavior issues is critical.
