SAP FICO Business Analyst - West Chicago, IL
As a member of the IT business analysis team, this role is responsible for design, maintenance, and configuration of our business processes and tools built on SAP's sales, production, transportation and supply chain, FICO related modules and third-party tools. The Analyst must ensure business procedures are performed efficiently and identify innovative opportunities to apply new technical and process solutions to meet business needs and create improved customer, employee and supplier experiences, drive sales, reduce cost to serve and drive profitability.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Propose innovative IT solutions to address business needs by understanding business processes and requirements and applying best of class software, hardware and / or services. (20%)
- Develop IT solutions by writing functional specifications and coordinating the development with IT staff (programmers, configurators, network, infrastructure, management, etc.) (10%)
- Enhance current SAP processes by configuring SAP S4 / HANA to meet business requirements. (10%)
- Assure successful implementation and adoption of IT solutions by the business by coordinating testing, documentation, training, change management and communication with the business. (20%)
- Timely support of daily business issues by monitoring IT tickets, providing assessments, proposing and prioritizing solutions and communicating with business. (40%)
Requirements
BS in Computer Science, Finance, Business or equivalent work experience.Minimum 2 years of experience in design, implementation and / or support of business systems including : Business analysis, process design and writing of functional specifications.Strong skillset with configuration of core SAP FI functions : GL, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Center AccountingSAP development resources (SAP Service Marketplace, SAP Notes search and SDN)Delivering effective reporting to support finance and business requirementsGeneral understanding or experience with the following : Programming and reporting concepts (SQL, EDI, SAP ABAP, MS .NET, Power BI)MS Windows environment and Office applications – particularly ExcelHighly creative and innovative individual who is passionate about process design and technologySelf-motivated about continuous learningDemonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrated excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively while managing complexityStrategic mindset with ability to understand the Big PictureOptimizes work processes with a focus on continuous improvementFamiliarity with other SAP FICO Modules : Budgeting, Credit Management, ACH / EFT for Incoming and Outgoing Payments, Financial Supply Chain Management, Fixed Asset AccountingCredit Card Processing within SAP, 3rd party AP workflow software, electronic bank statement processingExperience with testing automation tools.Managing projects using off-shore IT resources.Seniority level
