Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Materials Manager to oversee the supply chain operations, ensuring efficient management of materials from procurement to inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metals, machinery, or industrial manufacturing and a proven track record in logistics and demand planning, contributing to cost reduction and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the procurement of materials required for production while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
• Coordinate logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials to production sites.
• Analyze data to forecast demand and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
• Lead production scheduling efforts to align material availability with manufacturing timelines.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the supply chain.
• Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
• Manage and develop a team of direct reports, providing guidance and support in achieving departmental goals.
• Utilize ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365, to manage inventory and procurement processes effectively.
