Job description

A company is looking for a Copy Editor (Temporary).

Key Responsibilities

  • Proofreading and copyediting eTextbook content from initial draft through the production workflow
  • Learning to use internal publishing tools to make edits and queries directly
  • Using internal tracking systems to log time and interact with the publishing team

Qualifications

  • Prior experience editing or proofreading book-length content
  • In-depth knowledge of English grammar
  • Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style (preferred)
  • Experience with Jira or Wolfram Notebooks (preferred)
  • Strong performance on the proofreading exam
