Responsibilities:
- This is a fully in-office (part-time) internship, where you will prepare comprehensive federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns.
- Engage in tax research to unravel complex issues and stay informed of the latest legislation.
- Conduct meticulous reconciliation from accounting records to tax reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Evaluate and optimize depreciation methods and schedules for tax efficiency.
- Collaborate in strategizing tax planning and developing insightful tax projections.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing on a full-time basis or holding a BA/BS/MS in Accounting or a related field; high school diploma is required.
- Must maintain a cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment; Marcum LLP will not consider applicants for these positions who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
- Eligible to sit for the CPA Exam upon graduating, with 150-credit hours.
- Ability to travel to clients if needed.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage tasks efficiently.
