Position : Medical Assistant

As a Medical Assistant , you will assist in examinations and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician.
What You’ll Do :
- Coordinate patient movement and transport from the general waiting room to required treatment area, assisting patient as necessary while delivering chart to nursing staff
- Interview patients, vital signs, (i.e. pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) and record information on patient’s chart
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
- Drape patients with covering and position instruments and equipment as necessary when appropriate
- Hand instruments and materials to doctor as directed when necessary
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments in accordance to approved OSHA guidelines and procedures
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
- Schedule appointments, handle any payments for bills, keep x-rays and other medical records, perform secretarial tasks and complete insurance forms. Acting in relief of the receptionists when needed.
- Keys data into computer to maintain office and patient records when necessary.
