Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Snowflake-centric data analytics solutions for large enterprises. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in enterprise data architectures, end-to-end analytics workflows, large-scale data platforms, and modern cloud data warehousing patterns. This individual will play a key leadership role in architecting secure, scalable, and high-performing Snowflake solutions while guiding engineering teams and partnering with business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Architecture & Design
Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade Snowflake data platforms .
Define best practices for Snowflake schema design, storage optimization, clustering, and performance tuning.
Architect end-to-end analytics workflows from ETL / ELT pipelines to data modeling, semantic layers, dashboards, and BI consumption.
Technical Leadership
Serve as the technical lead for large-scale analytics and data engineering projects .
Advise engineering teams on Snowflake architecture, integration patterns, and data management best practices.
Guide teams through design decisions related to compute performance, cost optimization, and data lifecycle management.
Data Pipeline & Analytics Engineering
Oversee the development and optimization of ETL / ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, Java, and / or Spark.
Ensure seamless integration between Snowflake and ETL, BI, orchestration, and metadata management tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data quality checks, lineage tracking, and monitoring frameworks.
Platform Operations & Optimization
Lead performance tuning, compute warehouse optimization, query enhancements, and capacity planning for Snowflake.
Implement data governance, cataloging, security, and auditing frameworks.
Troubleshoot complex data pipeline and platform issues across ingestion, transformation, and analytics layers.
Security & Compliance
Design and implement Snowflake security models , including RBAC, access controls, row-level and column-level security.
Establish data protection policies aligned with enterprise governance and compliance standards.
Ensure secure integration of Snowflake with cloud services, analytics tools, and enterprise identity platforms.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, BI developers, and engineering teams.
Translate business requirements into scalable data architecture solutions.
Provide guidance on BI tool usage, data modeling patterns, and analytical best practices.
Required Qualifications
Experience serving in a lead or architect role for large-scale analytics projects.
Strong hands-on experience implementing and operating Snowflake-centric data warehouse solutions.
Deep understanding of the data analytics lifecycle , including ingestion, ETL / ELT, data modeling, warehousing, and BI.
Familiarity with common BI and ETL tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Informatica, Talend, dbt, Matillion).
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, Java, and / or Spark for data engineering and pipeline development.
Extensive experience with enterprise data platforms , including Snowflake, Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, etc.
Strong knowledge of Snowflake security, roles, access controls , and governance frameworks.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
Experience with modern data pipelines, data lake patterns, and streaming technologies.
Strong communication and leadership skills for working with both technical and business teams.
