Project Manager III
A client of ours is looking for a Project Manager III to lead and oversee a portfolio of projects within a dynamic business environment. As this is a long-term contract position, the ideal candidate will be skilled in managing resources, facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts, and delivering projects that meet stakeholder expectations while adhering to budget and timeline constraints.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Track project progress using established mechanisms, providing timely updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify and address potential resource conflicts and scheduling challenges, proposing solutions to ensure smooth project execution.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including consultants, procurement teams, and business units, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Supervise project teams, ensuring workloads are balanced and objectives are met effectively.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project processes, systems, and technologies to enhance efficiency and achieve organizational goals.
- Guide and motivate project teams, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources to meet business objectives.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including approvals and permits, to ensure compliance and facilitate future reviews.
- Initiate project programs by defining charters, identifying risks, and managing interdependencies to ensure seamless transitions across initiatives.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and schedules; track progress; identify risks; and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business units, consultants, procurement, and leadership to foster collaboration and resolve conflicts.
- Oversee and prioritize team workloads, ensuring effective resource utilization, growth, and high performance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Solid knowledge of project management fundamentals, practices, and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of operational systems and processes relevant to project delivery.
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software tools.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate multiple relationships, risks, causes, and consequences, supporting effective decision-making within budget and timeline constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with financial analysis expertise.
- Proven conflict resolution, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
