ProMed Staffing Resources B is seeking a travel nurse RN Director of Nursing for a travel nursing job in Laurel, Montana.

Job Description : Travel Director of Nursing (DON) – LTC / SNF Facility – Laurel, MT

Position Title : Travel Director of Nursing (DON)

Location : Laurel, Montana

Facility Type : Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility (LTC / SNF)

Shift : Days, 5x8 schedule (40 hours per week)

Start Date : December 1 or December 8

Pay Range : $2,800 – $2,966 per week (gross)

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all nursing services within the LTC / SNF facility.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies.
  • Supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans to meet resident needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality resident care.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits, surveys, and inspections.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to promote a positive work environment and high standards of care.
  • Serve as a resource for staff development and continuing education.
  • Manage budgets, staffing levels, and resource allocation for nursing services.

    • Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Montana (or compact license).
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing leadership experience, preferably as a DON or ADON in LTC / SNF.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care facilities.
  • Proven ability to manage nursing operations, staff development, and resident care programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
