Job description

Exciting news-our Middle Market group is expanding, and we're welcoming a new Broker I to the team! This is a fantastic opportunity to create and execute strategic risk management solutions for large, global clients. You'll be involved in designing, marketing, and managing property insurance programs across a variety of industry sectors.

In this pivotal role, you'll analyze client exposures, help reduce risk, and coordinate both the placement and daily management of accounts. Excited to make a real difference? Then you'll want to read on! This is a hybrid role and will be required to work in the New York City office 4 days a week.

What the day will look like

  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of the Property insurance marketplace, products and services, developing productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters
  • Responsible for all aspects of client service for assigned book of business including, billing, policy collection, review and transmittal in accordance with established departmental service standards
  • Retain and grow assigned clients / prospects
  • Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with appropriate external client contacts and internal Aon clients
  • Provide broking status and continuous support and service to clients during the entire broking process and the entire period of engagement by the client (this is a continuous process)
  • Demonstrate ability with all elements of client presentations including technical writing and verbal presentation skills.
  • Utilize effective negotiation skills.
  • Establish an understanding of the claims administration process and utilize the claims and legal advocacy group for claim administration and counsel as per established protocols and as advised by senior team members
  • Drive utilization of all available technology throughout broking process and client service process
  • Replicate effective products / solutions and develop broking opportunities

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum of 3 years Property insurance experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to form relationships
  • Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

  • A Property and Casualty Brokers License is required, or must be obtained within 120 days of hire if not already active

    Pay Transparency Laws :

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $72,500-$96,600 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
