• Senior Structural Engineer
• to play a key role in designing and reviewing complex structural systems for critical infrastructure projects.
• About the Role :

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you’ll lead the design, analysis, and documentation of steel and concrete structures. This includes developing and checking engineering deliverables, conducting technical reviews, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting construction activities. You’ll also help guide junior team members, evaluate technical challenges, and ensure structural designs meet performance, safety, and code standards.

• Key Responsibilities :
• Lead the structural design and layout of major structures including buildings, roadways, and support systems.
• Originate and review calculations, drawings, specifications, and material take-offs for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
• Apply structural engineering principles including statics, dynamics, and materials science to solve design challenges.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, construction teams, and vendors to ensure integrated and constructible solutions.
• Analyze unconventional materials, resolve design conflicts, and develop innovative solutions where standard methods don’t apply.
• Participate in and lead constructability reviews, technical discussions, and design coordination meetings.
• Prepare conceptual studies, cost estimates, and support proposal development.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and serve as a technical resource for the team.
• Respond to construction field requests, evaluate design changes, and resolve nonconformance reports.
• What We’re Looking For :
• Education & Experience :
• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (required)
• 5–8 years of relevant experience (or 9–12 years with equivalent qualifications)
• Required Skills & Knowledge :
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI 318, ASCE 7, IBC, and related structural codes
• Proficient with structural analysis tools like STAAD.Pro, GTSTRUDL, and Mathcad
• Experience using CADD software such as Tekla, Revit, or MicroStation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Familiar with engineering documentation including specifications, material requisitions, and drawings
• Skilled in coordinating across disciplines and communicating technical concepts clearly
• Prior experience working in highly regulated environments or government infrastructure projects is preferred
• Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG), and CSI MasterFormat or SpecsIntact

Job Types : Full-time, Contract

Pay : $29.00 - $65.00 per hour

Schedule :

• Monday to Friday

• Ogden, UT 84404 (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate :

• Ogden, UT 84404 : Relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Willingness to travel :

• 25% (Preferred)
