Job descriptionCoordinate and maintain construction project schedules, ensuring milestones are tracked and deadlines are met Support project managers with short-term and long-term planning using scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Buildertrend, or similar) Track material orders and deliveries to align with construction timelines Source, order, and manage inventory of building materials and supplies Work closely with subcontractors and vendors to confirm availability, delivery dates, and pricing Review purchase orders and verify accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project budgets Maintain organized records of all procurement and scheduling activities Assist in job costing, vendor negotiations, and updating project timelines as needed Communicate effectively with site supervisors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure clarity and progress across all projects 2+ years of experience in construction scheduling, purchasing, or coordination roles Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Excel and scheduling / project management tools Familiarity with residential and / or commercial construction processes Excellent communication and follow-up skills Experience working with vendors, subcontractors, and project managers Ability to read construction schedules and plans is a plus
