Job descriptionMust be Board Certified in Gastroenterology or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. Medical License (Required) Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing, DEA and Medicaid number. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, acute care is preferred. Familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) is advantageous. Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Medical Doctor (M.D.) Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Board Certification Active, non-probationary, unrestricted State License Active DEA license Certifications required : ACLS, BLS US work authorization Perform examinations, diagnostics, and treatment plans for patients Ensure continuity of care through effective communication and documentation Utilize EHR for managing patient records and facilitating care
POSITION SUMMARY
Gastroenterologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. This role requires collaboration with other medical professionals and the ability to work in various settings, including hospitals and outpatient clinics.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including but not limited to GERD, IBS, IBD, and liver diseases
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Evaluate and manage both acute and chronic GI conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care, surgery, and oncology, to optimize patient care
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, preventive measures, and lifestyle modifications.
