Description

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Spacecraft Systems Engineers to support programs based in Gilbert, Arizona. Spacecraft Systems Engineers are key members of a cross-disciplinary team helping drive the design, development, integration & test, launch, and on-orbit operations of complex space systems and capabilities. As a Spacecraft Systems Engineer, you will have unique opportunities to witness and take part in the entire engineering lifecycle culminating in the on-orbit delivery of fully mission capable space vehicles to our customers. Responsibilities

• Support program technical execution in accordance with Northrop Grumman Systems Engineering processes and best practices
• Perform technical planning and analyses at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal
• Assist requirements development, allocation, and interface definition efforts
• As the system design matures & evolves, utilize different tools and databases to keep technical artifacts up to date and help ensure the technical baseline is maintained
• Play a key role in major program milestone and readiness reviews
• Author and provide input to program data products and other vital deliverables including Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Command & Telemetry Databases (CTDB), test plans, test procedures, and automated test scripts
• Help support critical test campaigns designed to exercise spacecraft functionality, measure performance, and verify survivability in the extreme launch and space environments
• Work directly with and communicate technical and programmatic status to program leadership and Customers
• Lead by example and be willing to mentor, coach, train, guide, direct and advise teammates

Basic Qualifications

Note : This position can be filled at a level 3 or 4.
