Overview :

An established and fast-growing law firm focused on litigation and commercial collections is looking for an Associate Attorney to join its Boston-based team. This opportunity is ideal for a driven legal professional who thrives in a high-volume, courtroom-focused environment. Candidates with a background in commercial collections or creditor's rights litigation will be especially well-suited for this role.

Primary Responsibilities :

Handle legal matters from case initiation through final resolution.

Advise clients on litigation and debt recovery strategies.

Draft and revise legal documentation, including motions, pleadings, and formal correspondence.

Interact with opposing counsel and self-represented parties to facilitate dispute resolution.

Accurately record case activities in accordance with client and internal compliance guidelines.

Appear in court regularly across Massachusetts.

Perform in-depth legal research and draft formal legal opinions.

Maintain ongoing client communication to ensure consistent case updates and responsiveness.

Participate in legal training, webinars, and other professional development initiatives.

Take on additional responsibilities as needed by firm leadership.

Requirements :

Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar admission in Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to collections or creditor-focused matters.

Solid grasp of Massachusetts civil litigation procedures.

Ability to manage cases independently while also working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Strong organizational and prioritization abilities to manage competing deadlines.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Professional demeanor with a proactive, goal-driven approach to legal practice.

Technical & Interpersonal Skills :

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Skilled in negotiation, legal argumentation, and active listening.

High attention to detail with a commitment to professional excellence.

Comfortable handling multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.

Eager to participate in courtroom advocacy and engage with parties across the legal spectrum.
