Overview

Role : Manufacturing Station Designer

Work Location : Toledo, OH Onsite

Responsibilities

• Engineer and optimize workstations with a focus on operators, material flow, tooling, torque tools, and ICT interfaces
• Design detailed CAD layouts for production stations, ensuring compliance with process requirements, tooling needs, material flow, ergonomics, and safety standards
• Incorporate logistics and material display considerations into workstation design
• Assess operator footprint and integrate feedback from performance systems to optimize workstation layouts
• Define scopes of work for new assembly layouts, optimizing vehicle assembly sequences and selecting cost-effective tooling to improve efficiency
• Support launch activities, including scroll development and workstation optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design issues and ensure smooth implementation
• Perform workstation quality audits to ensure readiness and compliance
• Manage and document workstation changes, including updates after scroll freeze
• Apply strong project management skills to deliver successful workstation solutions on time
