Job Description
Production Lead
- A Crew Shift Hours : 6 am-6 pm; Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday.
- Prioritizing safety while setting up, operating, and monitoring machinery, performing adjustments, and troubleshooting minor issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Conducting rigorous quality control checks to uphold high standards.
- Accurately logging production data, machine performance, and downtime for continuous improvement.
- Packaging dry goods with precision and care.
- Collaborating closely with teams to ensure seamless handoffs during shift change, and equipment repair.
Job Tasks
Acts as the shift lead for ADW Manufacturing Tech I and II employeesUnderstand when a flush is necessary, which material to use for flush and accurately provide all required documentationSafely operate and become certified on a Counterbalance forkliftUnderstand the productions schedule and translate it to dry blendIdentify and provide all required paperwork to ensure all materials are cleared, available and used in accordance with FIFOUnderstand the production schedule and translate it to dry blendAccurately complete all ingredient transfer documentationProperly bin and store finished product and raw materialsUtilize the ERP system to ensure smooth production runs and proper inventory levelsStage raw materials for the next shiftCommunicate with the Production Supervisor and Spray Dryer Operator to ensure production goals are metComplete all tasks in the work area on the master cleaning schedule and documentBasic troubleshooting of equipment issuesMaintain the MRS system and 5S for their areaSafety, Quality, Delivery, Cost Requirements
Inspect, wear and maintain appropriate PPESafely use and store chemicals and maintain chemical labelingInspect and safely operate a Counterbalance forkliftFollow safe lifting proceduresFollow all IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) procedures including but not limited to Confined Space, Lockout / Tagout, Machine Guarding and Electrical Safety and Fall ProtectionAct as a safety ambassador, immediately reporting potential safety concerns and / or stopping work in the event of a major safety concernInspect raw materials and finished goods for quality defectsMaintain country code segregationAct as a quality ambassador, immediately reporting potential quality concerns and / or stopping work in the event of a major quality concernEnsure that standard work is followed in order to meet daily customer demandStage raw materials and ensure line coverage (breaks, etc.) to minimize production down timeTrack performance and work to decrease production downtimeEnsure that all transfers and transactions are being madeInspect, wear and maintain appropriate PPESafely use and store chemicals and maintain chemical labelingMaintain annual confined space trainingFollow safe lifting proceduresFollow all IDLH (Immediately Dangerous to Life and Health) procedures including but not limited to Confined Space, Lockout / Tagout, Machine Guarding and Electrical Safety and Fall ProtectionAct as a safety ambassador, immediately reporting potential safety concerns and / or stopping work in the event of a major safety concernFollow batch sheets and quality procedures to minimize potential for product contaminationAct as a quality ambassador, immediately reporting potential quality concerns and / or stopping work in the event of a major quality concernEnsure that standard work is followed in order to meet daily customer demandTrack performance and work to decrease production downtimeAFB International is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
