About The Position
Join a dynamic surgical team in Paducah, KY as a General Surgeon locum providing vital hospital-based call coverage. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn $2,000 per 24-hour call shift with additional call-back pay — plus enjoy comprehensive malpractice coverage and complimentary travel and lodging.
As the on-call general surgeon, you’ll respond to emergency department consults, manage hospital general surgery cases, and occasionally support after-hours clinic calls. You’ll work alongside a seasoned team of three general surgeons and skilled OR staff in a facility equipped with 12 operating rooms and EPIC EMR.

What You’ll Do :
Cover 24-hour EMTALA call shifts (7 am – 7 am) handling 1-3 surgical cases and 2-4 consults daily
Perform general surgical procedures including trauma cases, central line insertions, chest tubes, hernia repairs, cholecystectomies, and bowel surgeries
Collaborate with experienced CSTs, RNFAs, and first assists in a well-rounded OR environment
Care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics (peds cases typically limited to appendectomies and soft tissue)
What You Need :
BC in General Surgery (ABOS)
Active KY license or (IMLC)
COVID vaccination preferred, required by credentialing
