Job Title

Under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, Rehabilitation Services Supervisor, Staff Occupational Therapist or designee performs designated skilled and routine tasks related to the operation of Occupational Therapy services. The Occupational Therapy Assistant assists the Occupational Therapist with patient related activities as directed and per the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapy Assistant actively works in collaboration with others to provide quality interdisciplinary care. The Occupational Therapy Assistant actively participates in operational aspects of the department : assisting with performance improvement activities within the department, participates in CQI activities, assists with monitoring budget guidelines, ensures that patient charges are accurate and completed in a timely basis, and participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
