Staff Revenue Accountant

Boingo Wireless is currently seeking a Staff Revenue Accountant who is ready to jump on the challenge of working in an ever-changing industry. Responsibilities

• Billing and invoice generation, including proper and timely submission of invoices in accordance with the customer's invoicing requirements and / or policies
• Researching and resolving payment discrepancies
• Reviewing and analyzing customer contracts
• Preparing and maintaining deferred revenue and revenue recognition schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Customer collection activities including active and timely pursuit of collection of outstanding accounts receivable balances and recommending reserves and / or write-offs of customer account balances to management
• Preparing invoice adjustments, credit memos, debit memos, refunds, and accounts receivable, sales, and bad debt journal entries
• Completing the monthly financial statement close in a timely manner related primarily to accounts receivable and revenue accounting
• Assisting with fulfillment of audit requests from external auditors and other third parties
• Preparing account reconciliations and investigating and resolving reconciling differences
• Performing and / or preparing ad hoc analysis, tasks and reports
• Establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and other departments
• Cross-training Accounting Clerks and other team members, as needed
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the Revenue and Accounts Receivable team
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies and procedures
• Driving process improvements to improve quality and efficiency, and identifying opportunities for cost savings
