Job Summary
The MIG / TIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding on metal components and assemblies using MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques. This role ensures that welded products meet quality standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
Inspect and verify welded components for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
Maintain welding equipment, including torches, regulators, and welding machines.
Follow proper welding procedures, safety protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet project deadlines.
Perform basic finishing tasks, such as grinding, smoothing, and cleaning welded parts.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Knowledge of welding safety procedures and proper handling of materials.
Physical ability to work in various positions, including standing, bending, and lifting.
Welding certification preferred but not required.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
