Job Summary : The SMH Psychiatrist On-Call diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This position assesses patients psychiatric symptoms and medical conditions, gathers information on psychosocial history and onset of symptoms, develops a treatment plan, prescribes medications, and follows up. This position reports to the SMH Medical Director.

Note : We are looking for candidates who can work 1 day per week.

Essential Job Functions

• Medical / Psychiatric evaluation and medication treatment of persistently and severely mentally ill adult clients, and children / youth with mental health disorders, by funders standard of care protocol
• Review and approve clinical treatment plans
• Working closely with behavioral health clinicians, case managers, and wellness program staff to ensure client care coordination
• Consultation to staff regarding diagnosis, treatment, and other medical issues
• Provide coordinated and integrated care with Primary Care providers
• Documenting all services performed using the agencys electronic health records system
• Complies with all Quality Assurance requirements
• Participating in case conferences, training sessions, peer reviews, utilization reviews, chart audits, quality assurance reviews

$200 - $218.92 an hour
