Description :

• JCL / Batch Engineer will CA-7 scheduling experience will be responsible for test environment cell set up, remediating jobs and procedures to address precision impacts in utilities, datasets, and file flows.
• This includes modifying JCL steps and PROCs, SORT / ICETOOL cards, and utility control statements, as well as adjusting DD statements and file attributes as needed in an automated way.
• Working knowledge of REXX and associated automation or with python is required.
• The engineer must ensure restart and recovery logic of entire batch flows remains intact, while segregating functionality scheduling dependencies and batch window performance.
• Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience with JCL on z / OS, proficiency in utilities such as DFSORT and familiarity with GDGs, VSAM, and flat file processing.
• Knowledge of enterprise schedulers and strong batch performance optimization skills are also required.
