Job Summary

Raytheon’s Airborne Multi-mission Electronics Center is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Electrical Engineer to work onsite in Goleta, CA on Electronic Warfare (EW) electronics product development for defense applications.

The role includes design, analysis, validation, test, and support of digital, analog, and power conversion circuits for Electronic Warfare & Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) products & subsystems, and as needed leading project teams in these roles. Occasional travel (10-20%) may be required to other Raytheon facilities and supplier or customer sites.

What You Will Do

• Advanced FPGA-based circuit designs, including high speed DAC and ADC interfaces, DDR3 / 4 / 5 interfaces, various Ethernet copper and optical interfaces
• DC / DC and multiphase to DC, RF power supply circuits, control loop, stability analysis
• FPGA based design, DDR / other memories, digital to RF conversion
• Worst case circuit analysis and derating, design obsolescence, failure investigations
• Scope of work and staffing requirements estimating for potential projects
• Requirements documents and testing requirements
• As needed team lead and REA (responsible engineer authority) / mentor assignments

Qualifications You Must Have

FPGA-based digital and mixed signal PCB schematic capture and design analysis using timing analysis methods and signal integrity analysis such as Hyperlynx simulation

The salary range for this role is 137,000 USD - 275,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
