Director of Maintenance

Albertsons-Safeway's Northern California Division has an opening for Director of Maintenance.

The Director of Maintenance is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations across retail sites within the Division, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and driving operational excellence. Reporting to Vice President of Operations. This role leads site maintenance teams through direct collaboration with Division leadership, ensures consistency in maintenance practices, and implements strategies to improve store operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensures alignment with corporate philosophies around standardized objectives, policies and procedures concerning the Division maintenance programs.
• Oversee maintenance program within division pertaining to retail store maintenance and repair projects, common area maintenance, In-house refrigeration maintenance, and surplus property maintenance. Responsibilities involve the performance of discretionary tasks requiring considerable knowledge of the division and company operations.
• All in-house or 3rd party covered building, equipment, and mechanical maintenance budgets, policies and procedures.
• Responsible and accountable for meeting division expense goals related to maintenance and capital budgets.
• Responsible for the standardized training policies of all in-house refrigeration mechanics and technicians.
• Provide recommendations and direction for all store pre-construction refrigeration surveys scheduled for construction, remodel, or expansion.
• Responsible for managing capital projects related to maintenance.
• Responsible for managing Refrigeration supervisors.
• Responsible for assisting the Construction Department in their efforts to build or remodel stores within the Division to ensure alignment with criteria, processes, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintenance-related standards.
• Ability to manage standardized KPI's to include work order metrics.
• Responsible for any service contracts necessary to maintain overall store conditions and standards as established by Albertsons Companies
• Oversee all aspects of the in-house refrigeration department, including company guidelines, standards, and ensure safety and compliance policies are followed.
• Provide guidance for all outside vendor services within the division, across all retail facilities.
• Oversee accurate tracking and recording of division compliance and refrigeration reporting,
• Oversee training of in-house mechanics and ensure compliance with refrigerant reporting.

Salary range is $131,200 to $184,000 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
