Job Summary
This professional individual will be responsible for performing tasks that will increase the productivity and efficiency of the college. Additionally, the Operations Coordinator will continue to maintain the professionalism and decorum associated with the [Staff / Faculty] of Northwest Career College.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
- Research items / topics that will lead to decreased operational costs that will lead to the organization's ultimate success.
- May lead, guide, and train staff / student employees, interns, and / or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers as appropriate to the area of operation.
- Event setup and breakdown, including parking monitoring.
- Propose strategies for management regarding new products, reduce costs, and improve procedures.
- Maintain customer confidence and protect the institution by keeping information confidential.
- Prepare communications, such as emails, reports, and other correspondence.
- Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents.
- Maintain vendor database.
- Work collaboratively with the VP of Operations and team to maximize productivity.
- Collaborate with the whole project team, contributing to the entire project lifecycle.
- Organize and monitor schedules and see that deadlines are met.
- Contribute to department meetings by providing agenda topics and notifying the team of procedural updates.
- Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information.
- Other duties assigned by the Operations Department
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required.
Experience
Knowledge of University invoicing is preferred.Skills and Qualifications
Ability to withstand working in outdoor environments with extreme heat for up to 4 hours.Must be capable of lifting and moving furniture and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.Comfortable and proficient in climbing and working on roofs safely and efficiently.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods without compromising safety or performance.Must follow safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks in extreme conditions and heights.Must be able to crouch or lay down to replace batteries, fix sink components, and perform other maintenance tasks as required.Professional communication skills (verbal and written).Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.Strong work ethic and ability to inspire positivity.Can-do attitude.Strong listening skills.Ability to convey information accurately and in a forthcoming manner.Ability to retain and apply large amounts of information.Confident administrative, organizational, time-management, and clerical skills.Computer literate.Microsoft Office Proficient.Google Suite Proficient.Ability to climb a ladder.Ability to use manual tools and drill.Database management skills.Ability to analyze and solve problems.Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.Ability to receive, stock, and / or deliver goods.Clerical, word processing, and / or office skills.License / Certification
