Our Fortune 500 Medical Device client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager. This is not a technical position.
Job Summary
Responsible for implementing and supporting project management processes. Candidate will establish and maintain project performance metrics and measures and promote adoption and continuous improvement of standard project management practices. Supports project planning sessions, works with project teams to set-up and initiate new projects, and ensures post-project reviews are completed in a timely manner. Involved in portfolio and project status reporting. Implements and supports the use of project management and team collaboration technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze aspects of our current systems and procedures, and identify opportunities for enhancement
- Manage one or two process improvement or integration projects
- Take responsibility for project deliverables, project plans, status reports, and the gathering and documentation of requirements
- Collaborate with multiple internal departments on a wide scope of project management and analysis efforts
- Support project planning sessions and post-project reviews, providing project managers and team with practical guidance for creating the highest levels of project performance
- Consolidate and refine project status into program-level and senior management reports
- Drive process and requirement definition to facilitate the selection and use of appropriate project management technologies
- Support project teams in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other select technologies
Qualifications
5+ Years experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3+ Years with a Master's degreeEstimates project levels of effort and resource requirements using standard estimating techniques and toolsPrepares project plans, schedules and budgets using project management tools such as Microsoft ProjectDirects project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing contingency plansAssures project quality by using standard development methodologies to develop and execute project quality plansCommunicates project status by preparing status reports and participating in project status update meetingsResolves project issues by working with team members, customers, and others as appropriateConsults with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and mentoring more junior project leadersParticipates in external project management organizations, conferences and seminars to keep current with industry best practicesExcellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skillsPreferred : PM CertificateOther Details
