Exercise independent judgment and decision making of all classes of casualty claims as assigned. Assigned work based on direct contact with insured(s), contractors, professional experts, staff and others. Claims assigned on a daily basis and expected to be completed in accordance with provisions pursuant to insurance codes and guidelines.

• Verify coverage and analyze information gathered by investigation.
• Secure interviews and recorded statements from all parties involved in the loss.
• Obtain police reports, medical documentation, scene photos, property damage estimates to access damage and liability to support claim decisions and support contested claims in court.
• Examine claim forms and other records to determine insurance coverage.
• Interview or correspond with agents, insureds, claimants, and other pertinent parties to handle potential coverage issues.
• Identify recovery and subrogation potential.
• Collect information pertaining to the claim, investigate cause, origin and identify third party responsibility in connection with all types of claims.
• Prepare recommendations for settlement change on files exceeding personal authority or prior established reserves.
• Serve as a resource person for training new hires and for assisting with more complex coverage and liability questions for the teams. Requirements :
• Auto bodily injury claims adjusting experience.
• Knowledge of PC, Excel, and Word processing software.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn new claims management system to handle claims including, issuing checks and maintaining notepad.
