The Production Manager directs overall plant operations ensuring the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with the company quality standards and customer delivery requirements.

• Prioritize and delegate work assignments and directly supervise staff to ensure the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with company quality requirements.
• Establish production schedules to ensure timely delivery of customer products and maintain appropriate lead times.
• Develop plans for the maximum utilization of materials, machines, and employees.
• Establish productivity goals for each manufacturing team
• Ensure production equipment is available with minimal downtime.
• Evaluate, recommend and implement improvements in methods and processes to increase productivity, reduce cost and enhance quality of work.
• Establish a balance between increased productivity and reduced cost of manufacturing.
• Enforce safety and work rules, ensure proper use of equipment and establish plant 5S standards.
• Develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental and various regulatory agencies.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws including but not limited to hiring, firing, performance management, training, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and solving problems.
• Contribute to a positive working environment and lead by example.
