Key Responsibilities
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial operations, reporting, and analysis. Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Fixed Assets : Track fixed assets and maintain accurate schedules to support reporting processes.
- Budget Preparation : Collaborate with departmental leaders to prepare, review, and analyze budgets, as well as selected general ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable / Receivable (AP / AR) : Complete data entry and processing of accounts payable and receivable while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Analysis : Analyze balance sheet accounts, income statements, and perform variance analyses on unexpected cost discrepancies.
- Cost Accounting Records : Prepare and maintain cost accounting details related to purchasing to support project and operational goals.
- Audit & Closing Processes : Assist in monthly and year-end closings, as well as external audit operations.
- Project Cost Analysis : Compute project costs, compare actual vs. estimated costs, and analyze variances to ensure profitability.
- Invoice Payments : Verify, code, and process invoices, ensuring charges are allocated to the correct accounts. Manage weekly check runs and employee expense reimbursements.
- ERP Management : Enter and manage data in the enterprise resource planning system (ERP) while monitoring credit holds and working across departments to release orders on time.
- Other Duties : Contribute to other accounting responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Proficiency in general ledger accounting, budgeting, and financial statement analysis.Familiarity with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred.Prior experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and / or cost accounting is a plus.
