Overview :
The Solutions Architect in the Enterprise Architecture team assists Enterprise Architect Project Managers in organizing and controlling project activities. The Solutions Architect will plan and coordinate project tasks and resources, monitor project progress and help document and maintain project artifacts like status reports, project plans and others. This role works with the IT team and business stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions and projects support the business requirements and strategic objectives. To be successful, the Solutions Architect must model the Vestis Mission and Values and build effective relationships with leaders throughout the organization. This role reports to the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions :
Maintain and update project documentation including timelines, milestones, resource allocations and budgets.
Track project progress, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met as scheduled.
Prepare regular status reports and updates for stakeholders, highlighting any potential issues or risks.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, workshops and other project-related events.
Facilitate communication between team members, ensuring all parties are informed of project updates, changes and requirements.
Assist in the allocation and scheduling of resources, including personnel, equipment and materials.
Help identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Track and document issues, ensuring they are addressed promptly and escalated if necessary.
Work closely with team members to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to Enterprise Architecture principles.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather, document and prioritize business requirements.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to validate and refine requirements, ensuring all parties have a shared understanding.
Analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Develop detailed business requirement documents, use cases, flow diagrams and other relevant documentation.
Work closely with the Enterprise Architecture team to maintain updated documentation on architectural decisions, standards and guidelines.
Participate in solution validation processes to ensure alignment between business requirements and architectural solutions.
Assist in the user acceptance testing phase to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies and architectural patterns to support the continuous improvement of enterprise solutions.
Work cross-functionally to develop and implement enterprise data strategy and roadmap, linking to the strategic objectives of AUS.
Seek out and implement continuous process improvement opportunities.
Support internal communications related to business improvements and processes, system upgrades and enhancements.
Build and sustain working relationships with all AUS functional areas.
Report on statuses on a regular cadence and when requested.
Submit all time and expense reporting procedures accurately and timely.
Maintain good standing and completion on all compliance related matters (i.e., assigned mandatory trainings, actions required from audits, corporate policies, etc.)
Perform all additional duties and responsibilities based on the direction and guidance of supervisor.

Ability to manage and work on multiple concurrent deliverables at various stages of development and completion.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies and best practices.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and guide cross-functional teams.
Previous experience as a business analyst, preferably within an Enterprise Architecture or IT setting.
Good understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles and practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Willingness to seek out and implement coaching, suggestions and guidance from others.
Working Environment / Safety Requirements :
Ensure necessary working environment and capabilities to effectively carry out responsibilities if working from a non-Vestis location (remote work)
Ability and willingness to handle work related issues during all hours of the day, every day of the week, understanding the responsibility of our organization's requirement for 24 / 7 production support
Ability, willingness, and flexibility to travel as needed for approved work purposes in accordance with project and management schedules.
Experience / Qualifications :
A minimum of 4 years of experience in the project support or related roles.
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
Be legally able to work in the United States : U.S. Citizen or Legal Resident.
