\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience with direct involvement in liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant surgeries (must be reflected on skills checklist)\n
• Transplant Experience: Required experience with organ implantation (not just procurement/harvesting)\n
• Equipment: Proficiency with MISONIX/CUSA surgical equipment\n
• Certifications: Active RN license (compact nursing licenses accepted), AHA or American Red Cross ACLS and BLS (required at submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)\n
• References: Two recent professional references from OR leadership (within past 12 months)\n
• Other Requirements: Willingness to float to other operating room cases as needed; timely completion of onboarding modules\n
• Vaccines: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)\n
• Smoke-Free Facility: All travelers must be nicotine free (negative 10-panel + nicotine drug screen required)\n
• First-Time Travel Nurses: Accepted\n
• Pending RN License: Accepted\n
• Time Off: All requested time off must be disclosed at submission\n

\n\nOperating Room Nurse Responsibilities\n

• Scrub and circulate for complex transplant surgeries (liver, heart, lung, kidney)\n
• Participate in organ implantation procedures and support the full transplant process\n
• Operate specialized surgical equipment (MISONIX/CUSA)\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment\n
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR\n
• Maintain strict infection control, safety, and universal protocol standards\n
• Float to other operating room cases as needed\n
• Participate in on-call rotation and provide scheduled weekend coverage\n
• Support training and education of students and new staff in a teaching facility\n
