Job Quick Facts : Specialty : Neurosurgery Job Type : Locum Tenens Facility Location : Colorado Springs, CO Service Setting : Inpatient Reason For Coverage : Supplemental Coverage Period : ASAP - Ongoing Coverage Type : Call only Call Schedule : Thu / Fri(7a) - Mon(7a) - 24-hr call Patient Demographics : 17 yrs or older Annual ER Volume : 100,000 Physicians in Practice : 6 Neurosurgeons Required Procedures : - Adult & trauma Neurosurg cases, tumor removal, brain bleed stoppage, trauma repair - Shunt insertion / revision, cranial burr holes, intracranial pressure monitor or insertion of, intracranial hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, neurocritical conditions. - Ventricular taps, ventriculoperitoneal shunt / taps / reprogramming, ventriculostomy, diskectomy, laminectomy, spinal fusion - Spine stabilization & reconstruction, placement of arterial & venous access, administration of vasoactive / sedating substances, lumbar puncture, placement of lumbar drains. - CSF sampling from shunts / external ventricular drains, EEG interpretation, mgmt & interpretation of ICP & CCP data, external ventricular drain mgmt, application & mgmt of hypothermia. Trauma Level : I No. of ORs : 12 EMR : Epic Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements : Active CO License BC BLS, ACLS, ATLS COVID vaccination report Able to provide weekend coverage
