We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Facilities Assistant in the non-profit industry, based in Durham, North Carolina.
This role is primarily focused on assisting with the organization and scheduling of events, coordinating with businesses, and collaborating with teams to design promotional materials.
The role requires travel within the local area and occasional weekend commitments.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in planning and organizing non-profit events.
- Act as the primary point of contact for businesses that partner with the non-profit organization.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials for events.
- Maintain current business partnerships while also seeking new business opportunities.
- Adapt to flexible work schedules to accommodate different shift work and occasional weekend duties.
- Manage and execute email marketing and direct marketing campaigns for the promotion of non-profit events.
- Handle key account management and account maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate events and handle event coordination tasks.
- Follow up with partners and stakeholders through virtual interviews.
- Utilize your skills in event handling to ensure smooth execution of non-profit events.
- Perform any other duties that may be required in line with the role of a Facilities Assistant.
- Prior experience in a similar role in a non-profit environment
- Proficiency in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Familiarity with general management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites, including Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with 'About Time' management software
- Proven ability in managing conference rooms and facilities
- Basic understanding of construction principles
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to create and maintain accurate documentation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to work flexible hours if required
- High level of attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
