Job description

Construction Safety Manager

Location :  Upper Sandusky, OH

Duration :  8 Months (Start : Beginning of October)

Type : 1099 Contractor

Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management outsourcing. We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Manager to oversee safety operations for our client in Upper Sandusky, OH . If you are a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in construction safety, this is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Job Details

  • Hourly Rate : $49 / hr (non-local) or $56 / HR (local)
  • Per Diem :  $125 / Day on seven days
  • Completion Bonus : $150 / month
  • Pay : Weekly

Schedule :

  • 50+ hours; M-F, 1st shift and 2nd shift with potential for weekend work

    • Project Scope

    The construction safety manager will oversee all phases of construction for a new soy bean cruch facility

    Qualifications

    Candidates must have the following requirements :

  • OSHA 510 or higher
  • The OSHA 30 may be acceptable if the candidate has sufficient experience in construction safety.
  • 5+ years of experience as a construction safety manager

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
  • Provide safety training as needed
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

    • Skills & Knowledge

    Skills :

  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

    • Knowledge :

  • Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
