Director of Development

General Description :

The Director of Development engages businesses, educational entities and community agencies in support of Girl Scout Programs. The Director identifies potential funders, collaborators and partners; and researches their capabilities to support Girl Scouts with monetary gifts and grants, gifts in kind and / or program services. For potential funders or partners identified by this process, the Director creates individual relationship development plans geared to their interests and needs. With consultation from the Vice President, the Director works independently with management to execute the relationship plan, adjusting the plan as the relationship building progresses. She / He will also supervise the Fund Development Specialist grant writing and the contracted grant-writing professionals. The Director works closely with GSSGC program staff, membership representatives, volunteers and others to ensure that program needs for funding and collaborative support are met.
