Technical Services Assistant Manager Salt Lake County Library Cottonwood Heights, UT

The Salt Lake County Library is seeking an Assistant Manager for their Technical Services Department. The Assistant Technical Services Manager will coordinate tasks related to ILL, periodicals, acquisitions, and ILS item records. They supervise 10 staff on 2 teams. The recently reorganized Technical Services department (renamed Collection & Resource Services) has over 30 staff. This position is primarily in-office with a flexible work arrangement available between the hours of 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. / 4 p.m., Monday-Thursday / Friday.

Job Summary

Assists the overall operation, including acquisitions, cataloging, database maintenance, receiving, interlibrary loan and materials processing of the Technical Services Department. Supervises assigned staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Library Science, Information Science, or other directly related degree, plus two (2) years of professional librarian experience in a public library, OR an equivalent combination of related education and public librarian work experience.

Preference will be given to the candidates with MLS / MLIS degree, Technical Services experience and Supervisory Experience.
