Customer Service - Account Specialist

Manages support for Key Account Programs. Coordinates and manages customer contacts to insure timely and accurate handling and processing within established policies, procedures and directives.

BASIC SKILLS

o Maintain relationships and favorable contacts with assigned accounts.

o Meet all assigned responsibilities and goals.

o Receive, document, coordinate and complete following business transactions and requests accurately and timely as defined in established policies, procedures, and current directives.

o Coordinate on-time delivery of products and services accurately and timely as defined in established policies, procedures and directives.

o Participate in cross-functional teams and team projects.

o Communicate effectively with customers, team members, peers, and managers relating to issues, progress, status and solution.

o Work within the The Safariland Group team to balance responsibilities and share information.

o Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Customer Care.

o Owns the customer experience throughout the entire lifecycle of the relationship.

ADDITIONALSKILLS

o Manage assigned key accounts and performs back-up support for other Account Specialists.

o Train and mentor Customer Service Representatives as assigned.

o Participate in quality programs.

o Develop relationships with accounts assigned to acquire new orders and business intelligence.

o Develop, track and coordinate the fulfillment and corrective action to meet assigned customer contractual agreements.

o Coordinate customer demand planning requirements throughout the enterprise.

o Coordinate and team lead vendor compliance requirements and corrective actions.

o Coordinate national and international logistics support requirements as required.

o Compile & issue reports and provide analysis regarding assigned customers experience.

o Use extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

o Perform management functions for assigned team in the absence of the Customer Care Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Customer Service experience required
  • Minimum two (2) years account management experience in a Customer Service or a Sales related role
  • Understanding of telephony concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to coordinate with various levels of management within different functional areas.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Expert knowledge of company products, practices, and procedures.
  • Expert Sales Order life cycle management knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to use database query reports and tools.
  • Exceptional follow through and demonstrated ability to project lead.
  • Vendor managed inventory skills.
  • Knowledge of Electronic B2B concepts and processes.
  • Vendor compliance and customer relationship management concepts.
  • Enterprise cross-functional process knowledge.
  • Contract administration.
  • Forecast and demand planning.
