Job description

Top Skills : * -3 years minimum experience in DSS and / or Synergis Systems -Installation and maintenance of Enterprise class Access Control systems. -Router and Switch configuration experience -Bonus is - Genetec or DSX certifications *Description : * • Recommends, designs, implements, and supports technology solutions to achieve the business goals of the Physical Security Workgroup • Provides support for the Physical Security Workgroup for the security applications, infrastructure, and devices • Plans, designs, implements, and administers video management systems server hardware and software • Plans, designs, implements, and administers the access control software and hardware • Manages and maintains network devices pertaining to the Physical Security network • Documents infrastructure design and configuration as well as define and follow standards and procedures in relation to infrastructure hardware and software • Ensures security is maintained on the systems and software patches or firmware are applied appropriately across all Physical Security Equipment (cameras, panels etc.), servers, workstations, and storage systems • Ensures change control processes are followed and service levels are maintained • Evaluates vendor products and services to ensure stable hardware and software platforms for the infrastructure • Measures performance of the systems and takes appropriate actions to ensure that performance meets established service levels • Works with internal and external project managers as necessary to complete projects and efforts on-time, on-budget, and delivering the defined value *Additional Skills / Qualifications : * -3 years’ experience performing patching and firmware upgrades for security devices, applications and operating systems -Ensures change control processes are followed and service levels, affected by those changes, are maintained -Measures performance of the systems and takes appropriate actions to ensure that performance meets established service levels -Utilizes project management techniques to develop project plans and track progress to optimize project resources. Coordinates project priorities with team members and other team leaders. -Works with Engineering to create standards for Physical Security systems -Bachelor Degree in Engineering, IS, IT or related field or 15+ years related experience AND industry certifications like CCNA. -Independently designs and implements Physical Security Solutions. Includes low voltage engineering diagrams. -Coordinates projects with physical security technology vendors -Designs and produces blueprints for Low Voltage Physical Security Wiring Solutions -Collaborates with stakeholders regarding the appropriate design and implementation of system wide physical security technologies. -5 years’ experience designing entire physical security site implementation, including cameras, and access control : 10-50 cameras, 1-25 doors. *Additional Skills & Qualifications : * -DSX experience -Enterprise Access Control system- the hardware end of it, meaning like they know how to hook up a mercury board -Access panel -Land controller -Anyone with the physical security or alarm company experience would do well - Idea of electronics involved -Enterprise physical security experience in a large security vendor -Networking, IP Addressing, Security cameras, specifications -Industry cert from synergis -CCNA About TEKsystems : We're partners in transformation.
