Job description

Regional Operations Support Manager

Position Summary : The Regional Operations Support Manager will support efforts to achieve operational excellence for a network of facilities in Massachusetts and surrounding states. This position is responsible for leading large-scale technical projects, implementing standardized best practices, and advising on operational strategies to create efficiencies. This position will report to the Director of Operations Support and will be critical to the development and implementation of a process improvement culture.

Currently, we are looking for a Massachusetts resident, or a candidate located in an area from which all our New England locations are accessible.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for evaluating current processes in the field, devising policies, procedures, and initiatives to improve operations.
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement within Operations and based on operations team feedback and evolving needs.
  • Lead the implementation of technical resources, products, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for use in field operations.
  • Work cross functionally with technical, functional, and frontline teams to identify areas of operational improvements to drive efficiencies and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a resource for operations leadership to investigate and identify problems, propose and implement resolutions, and support continuous improvements.
  • Identify and implement relevant KPIs in operations to monitor efficiency and improvements gained through process improvements.
  • Assist in training operational management on new tools, processes, and policies to drive adoption of process improvements.
  • At least 50% travel required within MA, CT, NH, VT.

Essential Skills Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in a process improvement or operations support role.
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Kaizen, 6S, etc.)
  • Proven results delivering operational efficiency at scale
  • An adaptive, responsive work ethic with the ability to work in a fluid, flexible, and sometimes ambiguous startup environment
  • Ability to empower team members, motivate change, and facilitate problem solving discussions
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills required
  • Must be innovative in making changes to the operation as needed to improve the work environment.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office, MS Team, and related applications.
  • Excellent communication, including verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate across diverse and multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with firm deadlines
  • Strong data analytics skills.

    This is primarily a field position. Beacon is a professional environment involving constant interaction with drivers, monitors, transportation coordinators, management, and other employees. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

    Physical Demands

    This position requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, reach, or crouch. This role requires sitting in front of a computer, as well as standing / walking while training indoors and outdoors. You must be able to travel to other bases / locations as required.

    Schedule : Monday-Friday, day shift

    Salary range : $110,000-$120,000
