Overview
DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a full-time 2nd shift Learning Lead to join our distribution center team in East Point, GA. Shift for the Learning Lead position :
2nd shift : Monday-Thursday 4 : 30pm to 3 : 00am
The DC Learning Lead will work directly with the DC Learning Manager to support teammate development and drive PAR performance. They will play a primary role in teammate onboarding and ongoing developmental training within operations and will be responsible for evaluating SME's effectiveness and support the DC Learning Manager to identify areas that need improvements or updates (i.e. Training check lists, process breakdowns, communication channels, cross training opportunities, etc.). They will also support other training needs as necessary.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Evaluate Operational Trainer Effectiveness :
- Collaborate with Training Manager to identify opportunities (PAR, Accuracy, process breakdowns, cross-training needs, etc.)
- Ensure training checklists are up-to-date and current
- Embrace and communicate the role and importance of Safety, Accuracy and PAR
- Maintain knowledge of and train to functional Preferred Work Methods and SOP's
- Evaluate and communicate recognition and coaching opportunities to the leadership team
Support Low PAR Teammates :
Work primarily with teammates identified by supervisors as having opportunities. Share pertinent data (scorecards, team sheets, gap time, accuracy, etc.) that serve as improvement reference points.Work with supervisors and Training Manager to support improvement needed or help with coaching / education / observations for additional teammate learning to have a better understanding of PWM's / PAR and their role.Provide feedback to supervisor and Training Manager for follow-up.Floating Lead Responsibilities :
If and when all other training job duties are completed, act as floating GL aside operational Lead focusing on training within departmentsOnboarding / Orientation :
Ensure completion of onboarding activities (training checklists, Web Based Training, etc.)Relate the importance of PAR and assist teammate in understanding and completing Scorecards correctlyCheck for understanding of AIL functions, preferred work methods and their importance with teammatesAssist in follow-up for new hires within first 60 days to ensure understanding and provide additional support where neededEncourage teammate completion of surveys to measure engagement and retention.Coordinate Day 3 with operational trainers; assist when neededSupport Other Trainings (i.e PIT, orientation, safety, etc.) :
Ensure PIT classroom training is followed ASAP by practical training.Partner with shift on Cross training needs and assist in developing plans for peak workloadsQualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalentExperience in distribution center / retailCandidates must be at least 18 years of ageWMS-Manhattan & PMMSMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs
