Territory Sales Manager
A leading manufacturer of engineered components and material handling equipment used in industries such as paper, plastic film, and foil is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to manage a defined customer base while driving growth and providing solutions that improve production efficiency. This is an individual contributor role responsible for business development and account management across the New England territory and the Canadian Maritimes.
Responsibilities
- Manage all sales activities and account responsibilities within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular onsite visits and solution-based selling.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer production efficiency with company products and solutions.
- Travel approximately 50% of the time throughout the territory.
- Develop and deliver accurate customer quotes using the company’s proprietary configurator system.
- Document sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates in the company’s CRM in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with the engineering team to address customer needs.
- Focus on core products while identifying cross-selling opportunities to expand sales penetration.
- Stay current on all existing and newly developed products.
Qualifications
Organized, self-motivated, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, field-based role.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-term customer partnerships.Basic knowledge of mechanical principles such as torque, tension, loading, and deflection.Proven ability to manage a territory, develop new business, and grow existing accounts.Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred; technical or business focus a plus.Minimum 5 years of sales experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Compensation
This role’s compensation is base salary plus commission, car allowance, and benefits with a total on target earnings projected around the $140k’s to $150k’s.
