Job Description – Disposition Specialist 1
The disposition specialist assists attorneys in juvenile delinquency and adult criminal cases. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial interviews with juveniles and adults, identifying intellectual, mental health, substance abuse, and trauma issues, providing referrals to experts, obtaining records, drafting persuasive alternative sentencing and treatment plans, and identifying appropriate educational, substance abuse and mental health placements. Participate in routine multidisciplinary staffing meetings to review cases, identify barriers to client success, and refine therapeutic strategies. Investigative tasks include witness interviewing, obtaining video / photographic evidence, and evidence reviews.
Applicants must be willing to work with clients in jails and juvenile detention facilities.
