About The Position

Job Title : NICU Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (day / night)

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : Active RN License (Compact RN License preferred)

Certifications : Active BLS (American Heart Association), NRP

Must-Have :

2+ years of experience in a Level III NICU.

Experience with EPIC charting system is highly preferred.

Ability and willingness to float to PICU and PEDS.

Description :

Deliver nursing care to neonates.

Assess, diagnose, and establish a plan with outcome criteria.

Intervene, evaluate, and document care provided.

Assist with procedures, including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, and IV starts.

Utilize various equipment such as ventilators, medication pumps, and patient monitoring systems.

Perform neonatal assessments and care for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, and G-tubes.

Work collaboratively with the NICU team.

Participate in patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 1 to 1 : 2 for critical and intermediate infants.

Receive training on unit norms and assessment protocols for transporting infants.

Badging in and out of the facility is required.

Wear child-friendly scrubs according to role specifications.
