About This Role

As the Construction Electrician, you will work closely with the Electrical Apprentice to complete residential Main Panel Upgrades. Your job duties will include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting solar system components for electrical errors, offering support to install teams, oversee electrical connection between solar system and the grid, communicate with different teams or homeowners for necessary repairs, and more.

Overall Responsibilities

Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the grid

Complete residential Main Panel Upgrades (MPU)

Install residential solar battery systems as well as generators

Ensure that the work is performed in a professional, efficient and safe manner to conform to existing national and local building codes

Meet with local Inspectors to complete the County / City Inspection of the installation

Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues

Work with branch team and homeowners to fulfill any necessary system repairs to support solar equipment installation

Interface with branch leadership to ensure compliance with electrician / labor ratios and continuing education requirements

Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and solar standards

Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of electrical installation and repair experience

Journeyman Electrician license within the local state where required

Working knowledge of current NEC, local building and green book codes

Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels

Ability to effectively manage work to achieve required timelines

PV Solar installation experience is preferred

Willing to lead and develop apprentices

Must be comfortable working from ladders and on roofs

Ability to lift and move up to 40 to 50 lbs

This is a driving required position and you must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for insurability
