Job Description
Centura Wealth Advisory is hiring an Investment Consulting Director. As the Investment Consulting Director, you will provide investment support, training and expertise to the Consulting teams while securing new business to contribute to the growth of the organization.
You will work in partnership with the Investment Department, and report to the CIO in the creation of training and collateral that aligns with the philosophy of the firm and assist in delivering those solutions directly to clients.
As a critical part of new client engagements, the Investment Consulting Director will partner with the VP of Consulting to ensure all Investment Advisors provide expertise on investment management services for new and existing clients while maintaining relationships with personally sourced and established clients.
Additionally, you are expected to be at the forefront of client satisfaction through achieving client’s financial goals by optimizing investment portfolio performance, thereby growing existing AUM, winning new AUM mandates, and client retention.
Roles and Responsibilities :
The key areas of responsibility include :
- Act as the Consulting team subject matter expert on client investments, public markets, and internal portfolio holdings to maintain and grow AUM.
- Contribute to team Assets Under Management AUM goals through making data-backed investment recommendations to existing clients as well as new opportunities.
- Ownership and management of personal loyal client base.
- Analyze current & prospective client’s investment portfolios, identifying gaps, and providing investment solutions and recommendations.
- Manage & own the team’s portfolio proposal process to include creation of portfolio proposals and supporting client deliverables.
Pitch and present proposed solutions to clients.
- Responsible for implementation of client proposals once approved and steward through the investment management process and life cycle.
- Manage opportunities processed within company CRM and technology systems. Own the identification and opportunity creation of new investment offers and appropriate / suitable clients for new opportunities.
Prepare and present investment offerings to clients and prospects in conjunction with the Investment Department.
- Leverages technology, team, and process to achieve the sales results for the consulting teams.
- Builds and maintains his / her / team / firm reputation within community as professional, cutting-edge, and sought-after organization for HNW and UHNW individuals and families.
- Develop investment collateral intended for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Assisting client meetings to speak about investment allocations and how to best position client portfolios that align with Centura’s Investment philosophy.
- Train, develop and provide support to Investment Advisors within the Consulting teams.
- Stays abreast of significant changes or developments (e.g. taxation, regulatory, legal, competitive, and technical) within the fields of investments and financial services;
seeks to learn and find new strategies that can benefit his / her clients, as well as other firm clients.
- Familiarity, and in some cases, expertise in Centura’s planning strategies for UHNW clients and the understanding of how investment solutions integrate into various tax planning strategies.
- Helps achieve team and personal annual plan for new business goals, and tracks / monitors progress towards achieving the goal.
- Provide leadership to all members of the Investment Department and other members of Centura.
- Motivate all members of the Investment Department to strive for continuous improvement and excellence.
- Help train and mentor new team members.
- Participate in creation of the investment proposal process and deliverable creation to achieve optimal levels of automation and scalability.
- Lead the new advisor onboarding and portfolio conversion process for future external advisor acquisitions and tuck-ins.
- Participate in the production and administration of investment-focused advisor education materials.

Qualifications & Experience :
Experience :
- An undergraduate degree is required, preferably in finance, economics, or business administration.
- 10+ years of financial services sales experience as an advisor or in a business development function, required.
- Strong knowledge regarding investments.
- Ability to create and present client deliverables.
- Existing relationships with CPAs, Estate Attorneys, Tax Attorneys, and other professionals that serve High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth clients.
- Proven track record of hitting sales quotas and achieving growth goal.
- Able to design and enhance existing processes to support scaling and growth.
Required skills :
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills required.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills required.
- Proficient in building sales / business plan and executing strategy to achieve planned results.
- Software usage & proficiency :
- Microsoft Office : Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint required.
- Salesforce or equivalent CRM skills- required.
