Payroll Administrator - temp to hire

$33-40/hr, based on experience
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing for approximately employees. This role owns the full payroll lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while serving as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions and issue resolution.
Requirements - High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of proven experience managing full-charge payroll for + employees
Preferred Experience - Experience in a nonprofit or healthcare environment
- Experience with to multi-site operations
- Payroll experience supporting hourly employees, shift work, and variable schedules preferred
Responsibilities -
Process full-cycle, multi-state payroll for approximately employees using UKG

Own all aspects of full-charge payroll, including data validation, processing, reconciliation, and reporting

Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, deductions, and garnishments

Administer payroll for a predominantly hourly workforce with variable schedules and shift-based work

Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity across payroll and timekeeping systems

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations

Prepare, review, and reconcile payroll reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Manage payroll tax filings, payments, and year-end processes including W-2 preparation and audits

Partner closely with HR on new hires, terminations, employee changes, benefits deductions, and leave administration

Serve as the primary internal resource for employee and management payroll questions

Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation and reports
